When can I get there? When does the gate open?
The gate will be open for entry from 9am-9pm on Saturday and from 9am-12pm on Sunday. General admission starts at 9am on Saturday November 20, 2010. The event closes at 6pm on Sunday, November 21, 2010.
How do i get in? Will I be mailed a ticket?
No. Print out and bring your Paypal receipt and an ID to the gate with you.
Are minors allowed?
All ages are invited. Kids under 12 are free. Kids under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Some mature themes may be present, like at all burn events. You are responsible for your offspring!
Do you require participants to have Paypal to purchase an invitation?
Not exactly. While our systems are integrated with Paypal, you are not required to set up a paypal account in order to purchase your invitation. On the Paypal payment page, you can simply enter your credit card and billing address information and process your payment without setting up an account.
So this is a multi-day event. Where do we sleep?
There's room for indoor and outdoor camping on site. If you choose to camp indoors, do not plan on setting up your tent. There's limited space indoors so indoor camping will be in a group setting.
Is there a cap? Will this sell out?
The maximum number of tickets to be sold is 400. This event will likely sell out.
Can I buy tickets at the gate?
No. All tickets must be pre-purchased. There are no gate sales.
Will the gate be open all hours?
No. The gate will be staffed by volunteers and open for entry from 9am-9pm on Saturday and from 9am-12pm on Sunday.
What about parking?
There is parking available on site. However, parking IS limited. Please carpool!
What kinds of volunteer opportunities are there? Can I get in for free if I volunteer?
Volunteers are needed to work the gate, community bar, Ranger, LNT, DJ, play live music, give workshops, and more. Sign up here! Your volunteerism is appreciated, however there are no comp tickets -- everyone pays full price, even the CoLab residents.

Who is sponsoring this event? Where does the money go?
The event is sponsored by Alchemy, LLC, the operator of Alchemy: the Georgia Burn. Money from the event goes to Alchemy and the venue, The CoLaboratory, a collaborative burner-centric art center. As with last year, some of the money will be again used to fund several burner scholarships for 2011 burns.
Will there be food or alcohol to buy?
No. This is a burn-like event, so commerce will not be allowed. There will be a community bar staffed by volunteers, so bring something to contribute. Be sure to bring a cup!
Can I get a day pass? Can I leave and return?
There are no day passes. $15 gets you access through the entire weekend. You may exit and return.
